After the Fig Kennett launch party on the 5th, work began to prepare the space for the demolition work that needs to happen, and the construction of the fit out will start right after that.

The launch party was held at Holly Peters' Oriental Rugs on State Street (which is the same building groove will be housed in). There was a terrific turnout for sure that evening plus I got a quick gig in with my band while we were at it.

Product review! Zildjian K Sweet Crash 18"
You have to be careful when you are shopping online for cymbals (especially if they are hand hammered like Zildjian Ks are). Every cymbal is a bit different, slightly differing in attack or decay or overtones, and I analogize it to non-musicians as if you are sampling wines. No matter how consistent the manufacturing process is, no two bottles of wine of the same vintage from the same winery will taste identical.
